Welcome to MindPuzzle (the “App”). We take your personal information and privacy
seriously.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information, and what rights you have
regarding that information.
1. Information We Collect
We follow a “minimum necessary” principle and only collect information needed to provide our
services.
1.1 Account Information (if you register or sign in)
- Email address: Used for account creation, sign-in verification, password recovery, and related
account features.
- User ID: Generated by our backend (Supabase) to uniquely identify your account on our servers.
1.2 Usage Data and Game Progress
- Game session records (difficulty, completion status, completion time, etc.);
- Statistics (total games completed, performance by difficulty, time stats, etc.);
- Achievement unlock status;
- Basic preferences (e.g., hints on/off, sound settings).
This data is used primarily to record your game progress locally or in the cloud, generate statistics and
achievements, and help you track and improve your Sudoku play.
1.3 Device and Log Information
To keep the App stable and troubleshoot issues, we may collect necessary device and error log information, such as:
- Device model, operating system version, and app version;
- Crash logs and error messages (excluding your puzzle content and account credentials).
This information is used only for diagnostics and performance improvement.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Core features: Including Sudoku and digit guess gameplay, difficulty and rule settings, hint
system, achievements, statistics, and leaderboards.
- Account and cloud sync: After you sign in, we sync game progress and achievements to the cloud
so they stay consistent across devices.
- Product improvement: We analyze anonymized statistics and error logs to improve the product
experience and performance.
- Security: To protect your account, detect unusual sign-in activity, and prevent abuse.
We do not use your personal information for personalized advertising or sell it to third parties.
3. Storage and Security
3.1 Where and How We Store Data

Local storage: The App uses local storage (e.g., Hive) on your device for game progress,
settings, and statistics,
so you can use the App offline.

Cloud storage: When you sign in and enable cloud sync, we store account-linked game data in the
cloud
via Supabase (a PostgreSQL-based backend), with encryption.
3.2 Retention
- Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the App or clear local data in the App.
- Cloud data is retained while your account exists. If you request account deletion or data removal, we will
process it accordingly.
3.3 Security Measures
- We use encrypted connections (e.g., HTTPS) to protect data in transit;
- Cloud access is controlled and limited to what is necessary;
- We use reasonable commercial efforts to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, use, or loss of your data.
Although we take these measures, no method of transmission or storage over the internet can be guaranteed to be
100% secure.
4. Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure
4.1 Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We generally do not share your personal information
with third parties unless:
- You have given explicit consent;
- Required by law, court order, or regulatory authority;
- Necessary to achieve the purposes described in this policy, including sharing with service providers (e.g.,
Supabase) that provide infrastructure and technical services, and only to the extent necessary for them to perform
those services.
4.2 Transfer
We do not normally transfer your personal information. If a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer requires a
transfer, we will require the recipient to be bound by this Privacy Policy, or we will obtain your consent again.
4.3 Public Disclosure
We do not publicly disclose your personal information unless:
- You have given explicit consent;
- Required by law.
5. Your Rights
While using the App, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You can view your account information, game progress, statistics, and achievements in
the App.
- Correction: If your account information is incorrect, you can update it in your profile or
contact us.
- Deletion: You can uninstall the App to remove local data. To delete your cloud account and
associated data, please contact us via the email below.
- Withdraw consent: You can choose not to register or to sign out, which stops cloud sync; we
will then stop collecting cloud data associated with your account.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for general users and is not specifically designed for minors.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected a minor’s information without your consent, please
contact us using the details in this policy. We will investigate and take appropriate steps (e.g., delete the
information).
7. Third-Party Services
The App may use the following third-party services:

The App does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs and does not perform cross-app or cross-website advertising
tracking.

If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App or through other reasonable means (e.g., release notes).
Your continued use of the App after an update takes effect means you have read, understood, and agree to the
updated Privacy Policy.
